KEEP THE CONVERSATION TOGETHER
Writing a message, and attaching files
Formatting, attachments, and picking a recipient out of the customer book.
The compose box is the same wherever you write from: the Inbox, or the message button on a quote or an order.
Choosing who it goes to
Start typing a name, a company or an address in the To field and MegaHub offers matching customers from your book. Arrow keys move through them, Enter picks one. Type past the suggestions and it takes whatever you typed — plenty of the people you write to are not customers, and the field does not pretend otherwise.
Separate several recipients with commas. Suggestions apply to whichever address you are typing, not the whole field.
Formatting
Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, bulleted and numbered lists, quotes and links. That is the set on purpose: headings, colours and font sizes render differently in Outlook, Gmail and Apple Mail, and a message that looks right to you and wrong to the customer is worse than a plain one.
Attachments
Use the Attach files button, or drop files onto the box. They upload as you pick them, so you find out immediately if one is too large rather than after writing the message.
| Limit | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Files on one message | 10 | Beyond that it is a file transfer, not an email |
| Total size | 25 MB | What Gmail and most other servers accept |
| One file | 25 MB |
Remove one with the cross beside it. Files you attach and never send are cleaned up after a day.
